The main research aims are to enhance the quality of nursing care and delivery of health care for chronically ill persons. The focus is on patient education using the philosophy of empowerment, especially for people living with diabetes but also for other patients‘ groups. Increasing research emphases is on people living in the „arctic“ and their living conditions.
